At a glance
A candle massage uses a massage candle made from plant butters and oils that melts at just above body temperature; the therapist pours the warm oil onto the skin and works it in with slow, enveloping strokes. It hydrates skin dried by cabin air, warms the muscles gently and suits guests who find ordinary oil massage too light. At Navitas Spa it is available in 50- and 90-minute sessions — ask us on WhatsApp for the current price.

The candle
Shea and cocoa butters, sweet almond or jojoba oil and a little natural fragrance, set in a tin with a wick. Lit for a few minutes, it produces a pool of warm oil at about 40 °C — comfortable on the skin, never hot. Unlike ordinary wax it never sets on the body.
What it feels like
Warmth first, then weight: the oil is richer than a standard massage oil and the strokes are slower to match. It is the most enveloping massage on the menu and the one guests describe as a blanket.
Who it suits
- Dry, tight skin after flying
- Cold days and cold travellers
- Couples — the couples suite and two candles
- Anyone who wants warmth without the intensity of hot stones
Frequently asked questions
Is the candle scented?
Lightly, from the plant ingredients. Tell us about fragrance sensitivity.
Do I need to shower afterwards?
Optional — the oil absorbs, leaving the skin soft rather than greasy.
