Navitas Spa & Sports · Hilton Istanbul Airport
The airport spa at Istanbul Airport
A complete hotel spa a few minutes' walk from the terminal: Turkish hammam, massage rooms, a heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room and a fitness centre. Open every day from 07:00 to 22:00 — for layovers, crews, hotel guests and the city.
Straight answer
Navitas Spa & Sports is the airport spa at Istanbul Airport (IST): the spa and wellness floor of Hilton Istanbul Airport, on the landside, a short walk from the terminal and opposite the M11 metro station. It is a full spa rather than a lounge kiosk — a purpose-built Turkish hammam, three treatment rooms, a heated indoor pool, a Finnish sauna, a steam room and a fitness centre that hotel guests can use around the clock. Treatments run from 20 minutes to a whole afternoon, every day between 07:00 and 22:00. Prices are shared on WhatsApp and confirmed with your booking.
What an airport spa should be
Most of what is sold as an airport spa is a chair in a corridor: a fifteen-minute neck rub between two gates, with the announcements still audible. The spa at Istanbul Airport is a different kind of place. It sits inside Hilton Istanbul Airport, behind its own doors, with the wet areas a spa is supposed to have — a marble hammam with a heated navel stone, experience showers, a sauna and a steam room — and a pool you can actually swim in.
The distance from the terminal is the part travellers ask about first. The hotel is a few minutes on foot from the terminal doors, and the airport's metro station is directly opposite the entrance. You do not need a taxi, a shuttle or a booking made weeks ahead; you need a spare hour and a phone.
A chair by the gate, or a spa floor with doors
| Compare | Chair services in the terminal | Navitas at Hilton Istanbul Airport |
|---|---|---|
| Where | Airside, by the gates | Landside, a few minutes on foot |
| Treatment space | A chair or a small cabin | Three closed rooms — two single, one for two |
| Turkish hammam | Not in the terminal | Marble hammam with a heated navel stone |
| Pool and sauna | Not in the terminal | Heated indoor pool, Finnish sauna, steam room |
| Shower | In some lounges, usually extra | Experience showers; robe, slippers and peştemal with every treatment |
| Usual length | 15–30 minutes | From 20 minutes to a whole afternoon |
| Passport control | Not needed | Needed for international transit, visa where required |
Both have their place. With forty minutes between two gates, stay airside; with two hours or more, the walk is worth it.
Choose by the time you have
- Under two hours: a 20-minute scrub or a 25-minute foam massage from the Focused Care menu. Allow about 45 minutes door to door, including the walk.
- Two to four hours: the 45-minute scrub and foam ritual in the hammam, or a 50-minute massage, with time in the pool or sauna before you leave.
- Four hours or more: a 90-minute massage, or a package — the Diamond Package (105 min) or the Grand Ritual (145 min) — followed by the relaxation lounge.
- Staying overnight at the hotel: the fitness centre is open 24 hours for hotel guests; the spa itself keeps its 07:00–22:00 hours.
International transit passengers must pass passport control to reach the hotel (a visa may be required) and return through security afterwards. Add that time to whichever option you choose.
From the terminal to the spa
- 01Leave the terminal at arrivals level and follow the signs for Hilton Istanbul Airport. The walk is short and covered for most of the way.
- 02Coming by metro: the M11 line stops at the station opposite the hotel entrance.
- 03At the hotel, ask reception for The Spa or follow the signs to the wellness floor. Towels, bathrobe, slippers and a peştemal are provided; arriving ten minutes before your treatment is enough.
Istanbul Airport (IST), not Sabiha Gökçen
Istanbul has two airports and search results mix them. Navitas Spa & Sports is at Istanbul Airport — IST, on the European side, the one the M11 metro serves and most long-haul flights use. Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) is on the Asian side, a couple of hours away in traffic; if you fly from there, this is not a spa you can walk to.
Inside IST the distinction that matters is airside and landside. The spa is landside, inside Hilton Istanbul Airport: on foot from the terminal, from the metro station opposite the entrance, or by car — and open to everyone, not only to hotel guests.
Who the spa is for
Transit passengers with a few hours between flights, arriving guests who want to shake off a long haul before the city, crews on a layover, airport staff, and people from Istanbul who prefer a quiet pool over a crowded one. You do not need to be a hotel guest; day visitors book a treatment and use the facilities that come with it.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a spa at Istanbul Airport?
Yes. Navitas Spa & Sports is the spa of Hilton Istanbul Airport, on the landside a few minutes' walk from the terminal, with a Turkish hammam, massage rooms, a heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room and a fitness centre.
Is the airport spa inside the terminal?
No. It is inside the hotel next to the terminal, not behind security. Inside the terminal you will only find lounge chair services; the hammam, pool and sauna are here.
How much time do I need for the airport spa?
About 45 minutes door to door for a 20–25-minute ritual, around two hours for the hammam ritual with some time in the pool, and half a day for a package. International transit passengers should add time for passport control and security.
Can I use the spa without staying at the hotel?
Yes. Day visitors are welcome; book a treatment and the team confirms which of the wet areas come with it on the day.
What are the opening hours?
Every day from 07:00 to 22:00. The fitness centre is open around the clock for hotel guests.
How do I book the airport spa?
On WhatsApp at +90 535 814 07 44, or with the short form on the booking page. Prices are shared on WhatsApp and confirmed with your booking.
Which Istanbul airport is the spa at — IST or Sabiha Gökçen?
Istanbul Airport (IST), the large airport on the European side. The spa is inside Hilton Istanbul Airport, opposite the M11 metro station. Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) is on the Asian side and too far for a layover visit.
How far is the spa from the terminal?
A few minutes on foot, covered for most of the way, and the hotel entrance faces the M11 metro station. Allow about ten minutes each way with luggage, plus passport control if you are on an international transfer.
Is the airport spa open 24 hours?
The spa is open every day from 07:00 to 22:00; plan your treatment to finish before closing. The fitness centre is open around the clock for hotel guests with a room key.
Do I need to book in advance?
For a short ritual we can often take you the same day, but the treatment rooms and the hammam fill up in the evening and at the weekend. A message on WhatsApp with your flight time is enough — we reply with what fits.
