Domestic passengers and travellers arriving in Istanbul reach it directly; passengers connecting between two international flights must pass through passport control — entering Türkiye, with a visa where required — to visit, and then return through security. Airside, the terminal offers lounge-based massage services.

Airside is everything after passport control and security — the gates, the lounges, the duty-free. Landside is everything before it — arrivals, check-in halls, the road, the metro and the hotels. Hilton Istanbul Airport, and therefore the spa, is landside.

Will my checked luggage be a problem?
Bags checked through to your final destination stay with the airline; you walk over with hand luggage only.
