At a glance
A coffee and salt scrub polishes the skin with sea-salt crystals while ground coffee stimulates circulation, leaving the body smooth, firm and tingling. It is gentler than the kese and adds minerals; at Navitas Spa the 25-minute Coffee & Salt Peeling is added before a candle or aromatherapy massage so the oil absorbs into polished skin, and a salt peeling is part of the Grand Ritual.

How it works
Salt crystals remove dead skin mechanically and leave minerals on the surface; ground coffee's caffeine and texture draw blood to the skin, which is why it tingles and glows. Worked in circular movements on damp skin, then rinsed, it takes about twenty-five minutes.
