Hot Stone Massage
Heated volcanic stones that melt deep stiffness
At a glance
The Hot Stone Massage at Navitas Spa, Hilton Istanbul Airport, combines smooth heated basalt stones with long massage strokes and gentle stretching. The heat penetrates the muscles so that deep stiffness releases without heavy pressure — a favourite after long-haul flights. It is available in 50 and 90 minutes; ask us on WhatsApp for the current price.
What it is
Smooth volcanic stones are warmed in water and used in two ways: placed along the spine, in the palms and on the feet to radiate heat, and held in the therapist's hands as an extension of the massage itself. Heat relaxes muscle fibre faster than pressure alone, so the therapist can work deeply while the sensation stays soothing.
The combination of heat and long strokes is what makes it so effective after travel: circulation picks up, cold feet warm through, and the back loosens without the soreness deep pressure can leave.
At the airport
Best taken with time to rest afterwards — on arrival day at the hotel, or during a long layover — because the heat makes most people sleepy. Hydrate well before and after.

Frequently asked questions
Can it burn?
No — stones are kept at a controlled temperature and always tested by the therapist; tell us at once if anything feels too warm.

We do not recommend hot stone during pregnancy. Ask us about gentle alternatives.
Hot stone or deep tissue for a stiff back?
Hot stone if you want the stiffness to melt with warmth; deep tissue if you prefer firm, targeted work on specific knots.
