At a glance
A scalp massage applies slow circular pressure over the scalp, the temples and the base of the skull, releasing the small muscles that clench during travel and screen time. Benefits include relief of tension headaches, easier sleep and a deeper mental rest; at Navitas Spa it is a 15-minute add-on to any treatment and part of the Jet Lag Recovery package.

Why the head
The muscles of the scalp, temples and neck base tighten with concentration, screens, noise and poor sleep — everything a flight supplies. They rarely get touched. Fifteen minutes of pressure there lowers the heart rate noticeably and is the moment many guests fall asleep.
How it is done
- Circular pressure with the fingertips over the whole scalp
- Slow work at the temples and along the hairline
- Deep, held pressure at the base of the skull
- Optionally with a light oil; without, if you prefer your hair untouched
Add it to
- Any massage, at the end
- The hammam ritual, on the heated loungers
- Jet Lag Recovery, where it is included
