Deep Tissue Massage
Firm, slow pressure into chronic knots and trigger points
At a glance
The Deep Tissue Massage at Navitas Spa, Hilton Istanbul Airport, applies slow, firm pressure to chronic muscle tension and trigger points, releasing adhesions in the deeper layers and restoring posture and mobility. It is a 50-minute treatment chosen by guests who want targeted, strong work rather than general relaxation; ask us on WhatsApp for the current price.
What it is
Deep tissue massage works slowly. Instead of gliding over the muscle, the therapist sinks into it with thumbs, knuckles and forearms, waits for the tissue to yield and then moves along the fibre. Trigger points — the small, tender knots that refer pain elsewhere — are held until they release.
It is the right choice for chronic tension that a relaxation massage does not reach: the band across the upper back, the hip that aches after every flight, the forearm tightness of a life at a keyboard.
At the airport
Allow time to rest afterwards and drink water; deep work can leave you a little tender for a day. If you have a flight within the hour, the antistress massage is the lighter option.

Frequently asked questions
How is it different from sports massage?
Deep tissue addresses chronic tension anywhere in the body; sports massage focuses on the muscles used in a specific activity and adds more stretching.
Will I be sore?
Possibly a little the next day, like after a hard workout. It passes quickly with water and movement.
Is it safe if I have an injury?
Tell us before the session. We avoid acute injuries and inflamed areas and can work around them.
