In the Ottoman palace baths a sultan was attended by several bath servants at once. Our Sultan Hammam keeps the idea: the full scrub and foam ritual performed by two therapists working in synchrony — four hands — for 50 minutes. In English we call it the Four Hands Ritual. It is not to be confused with the Sultan's Massage, a single-therapist oil massage on the treatment bed.
